The Vydubychi Monastery located in the tract of the same name and being one of the oldest buildings in Kyiv, is considered as an architectural monument of national significance.
The oldest survived building of the complex is the St. Michael’s Cathedral built in the second half of the 11th century. The rest of the ensemble, including St. George as the main cathedral, dates back to the 17th–19th centuries and includes the bell tower, the Church of the Transfiguration, the fraternal building, the abbot’s house, the chapel of the Archangel Michael’s Church, and the necropolis. Since 1997, a men’s monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchate has been functioning there.
