About the place
Everything is possible in the fantastic world of the naïve artist Maria Pryimachenko. Even lions can be kind here. And be pink and have blue manes. And walk on chicken feet. Such a combination of parts of different animals into a single amazing creature is one of the main features of the craftswoman’s work.
None of the 800 paintings by Maria Pryimachenko show the same animals or ornaments on their embroidery. The artist’s unique style made her famous in a number of European countries even when she was young. It was recognised through the Shevchenko Prize and honoured by UNESCO.
