It is a museum located in the Kovnir’s Building in the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Preserve. The exposition and temporary exhibitions present jewellery masterpieces from the Bronze Age to modern jewellery art. Its collection of Scythian gold is the largest in the world (over 40,000 exhibits). The Scythian Golden Pectoral of the 4th century BC from Tovsta Mohyla burial kurgan in Dnipropetrovsk oblast is the centre-piece of the museum.
