A bas-relief portrait of Maya Plisetskaya on a cherry stone, a caravan of golden camels in the eye of a needle, a rose in a hair section, and, finally, the most famous shoed flea. All these are unique masterpieces of a Ukrainian, Mykola Siadrystyi, which can be seen in his museum in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
Our compatriot is the best miniaturist in the world. He earned this title thanks to the uniqueness and complexity of his masterpieces: manual work, extraordinary precision, and author’s technique.
