Young Theatre (originally called Molodizhnyi) was set up in 1979 by order of Volodymyr Shcherbytskyi. In 1995, the Theatre moved to premises on Prorizna Street and received its current name.
Its repertoire includes classical and contemporary performances of the works of Karpenko-Karyi, Beket, Platonov, Hlowatskyi, Saroyan, Schiller, Schmitt, Chekhov, McDonagh, and others.
The Theatre has 3 stages: the main stage, the chamber stage and the micro-stage for directorial and actor debuts. The Young Theatre actively cooperates with foreign colleagues and participates in international projects.
