The Kyiv Founders’ Monument was opened in 1982 in Navodnytskyi Park and is made in the form of a boat in which the brothers Kyi, Shchek, Khoryv and their sister Lybid believed to be the legendary founders of the capital are standing. Next to the Monument, there is the Sightseeing Platform on the embankment offering views of the Dnieper, the Paton Bridge, the Venetian Island, Rusanivka and Berezniaki residential neighbourhoods. In 2021, during the park’s reconstruction, the fountain around the monument was restored and illuminated.
