Laska is the first charity shop in Kyiv. This project was founded in 2011 by Olena Linkova who was inspired by similar institutions in Moscow and London and decided to do something similar in Ukraine. Money for the start-up was collected via crowdfunding platforms, but at first, they could only organise an online store. In 2013, the first offline location was opened, and in 2015, a shop appeared at 15 Malopidvalna. Here you can bring unnecessary things that will be donated to charity or resold. Those that can no longer be used are sent for recycling. There is also a coffee shop in the store, and sometimes, film screenings, lectures and other events are held.
