About the place
Earlier, Andriivskyi Descent was a site of the largest souvenir markets in Kyiv but after dismantling of a number of kiosks in 2018, the market has shrunk significantly. Nonetheless, it is still regarded as one of the most colourful places.
Various souvenirs, national symbols, items or art, decorations, unique hand-made items, vintage and antique things, and so on, can be found on the vendors’ trays. There is also a separate Painters Lane where one can purchase works by local artists; the market is open every day — mainly until 15:00–16:00, and even longer in summer.
