Kyiv’s most famous widow lives on Liuteranska street on the façade of Arshavskyi’s mansion. Whenever it rains, tears flow from her stone eyes. This has been happening for over 100 years, which is why the house is often called the House of the Weeping Widow.
The luxurious mansion with garages, cellars and a garden was built in 1913 for the merchant Arshavskyi to the design by Eduard-Ferdinand Bradtman. Today, it is the smallest Kyiv Presidential residence where members of high-ranking delegations live and a working television studio is located.
