Address
18 Valery Lobanovsky Avenue
It is a block of stone at 18 Valeriia Lobanovskoho Avenue, with a granite memorial plaque with the inscription: “The 3rd line of defence of the city went through here in VII-IX-1941” attached to it. During the World War II, instead of the avenue, there was a huge anti-tank ditch which was part of the third defence line of Kyiv. It became the deployment of the 206th Rifle Division and 19,000 soldiers of the People’s Militia. The memorial sign was designed by architect Eduard Bilskyi and established in 1965.
