It’s a miracle! On an area of almost 9 hectares in the very heart of the capital, rare trees — sakura, sophora, ailanthus, Kentucky coffeetree, aquilegia — grow instead of tall skyscrapers of the downtown; bright flowers are planted; cosy corners for relaxation and elegant quaint alleys have been created. Here you can spend an entire day wandering among the trees, by simply walking or by a small trip-train, taste the silence, peace, harmony, listen to the whisper of leaves, feel the smell and taste of cosiness and contemplation.
Still, such beauty might not have become a reality. In the early 20th century, they tried to destroy the park, significantly re-plan it and turn it into a burial place for military and political figures. Fortunately, such plans were not destined to come true.
